The family that plays together,
stays together. —various sources
That would be a good description of my family.
My father has been a chiropractor since 1981. I've been in practice
since 1988, my brother Kevin since 1992, and my brother David since 2006. When we are not working,
we adjust each other's spines. When the work week is over and
the bones are adjusted, the fun starts.
My parents usually
invite all the kids and in-laws over for a bike ride or a hike.
(We're talking about a forty mile bike ride or a four hour hike.)
It's tough keeping up with the old geezer (as my father is lovingly
called). My mother is no slouch either. I'll be trudging up a
hill on my bicycle, and she'll zip
past me. She has worked alongside
my father since they first opened. Both my parents are wonderfully
inspiring.
My father, mother
and brothers Kevin and David all practice together in Black Mountain, feel
free to check out their website. Dad and Mom are semi-retired now, working only about
one week per month, leaving the
practice in Kevin's capable hands.
My brother David, the youngest Chiropractor in our family, joined Kevin in 2006.
My father founded Greenspan Chiropractors (originally Swannanoa
Valley Chiropractic) in Black Mountain. I worked there for a
year after earning my doctorate of chiropractic. Then I had the
opportunity to take over Biltmore Chiropractic, which is now
Greenspan Chiropractic. The years have gone by fast!
We are blessed to be chiropractors and to
love each other so dearly.
